I loved the animated Clone Wars thing they ran on Cartoon Network. It was nice and stylized but yet captured the feel of Star Wars. And it was serialized which is a great way to tell a Star Wars story. It absolutely positively did not need to be CGIed into a theatrical release. And I agree. I want the story arc between "New Hope" and "Empire". I want to know why Obi Wan aged so much in like 18-19 years???? Dude! Tattooine was rough on him. Or better yet after "Jedi" with Luke and Han because really, we know the begining, middle and end of the Anakin and Obi Wan's stories.

Does anyone know how the new 3d film/TV series fits in with the 2d clone wars series? The ending of that series set up the beginning of Sith. Is the new series going to rewrite the whole story inbetween Episodes II and III? The last story about anakin in the 2d series was regrettable, so maybe that series should be ignored altogether. Everyone wants to see what happens between episodes III and IV, that is the least explored era but very important to set up the three original films.

First let me agree that I sure would like to see Speilberg direct the next Star Wars film and have it take place after Return of the Jedi. !!!!!!
(I want that!)

I watched the trailer today with SPEED RACER and I have to say I wasn't happy.

I'm a little bummed that Clone Wars is the focus of this film. The first Star Wars movie was about a hero that saved the day. All this film dwells on is robots killing clones and the jedi in the background looking for (of all things Jabba the huts son). How fricken lame is that?

Come on Lucas get off the war mongering.

I want to get right into the storyline between Sith and A New Hope. Come on, we gotta see Tarkin squashing people with his Star Destroyer. I don't really care about what happens post-VI. The plot of this movie confuses me since it takes place in between the prequels. It almost seems like they're redoing ATOC. Lets get to the good stuff with Darth Vader already.

Looks like a pretty good take on the in-between parts of star wars. Animated sequels to Episode VI wouldn't be great, and the Star Wars universe is so large now that there must a thousand film's worth of material to do anyway.
