He Can’t Read Your Mind, But McLovin Does ‘Kick Ass’

Our neighbors over at AICN have posted a brand new poster for Kick-Ass, the comic adaptation from director Matthew Vaughn that is said to actually kick serious ass. This one features Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad) as Red Mist, a dude with a sweet ride and an attitude. And that’s what we get from the poster, which can be seen in its totality by clicking the image above. In my opinion, this poster fits in with the first poster of Aaron Johnson as the film’s title character. Kick-Ass, the character, is the beaten, bruised hero, whereas Red Mist is sort of a bit more vain about his alter-egoism. This serves as yet another fun character poster that will speak to fans, but doesn’t work as a stand-alone marketing vehicle.

For some real badass Kick-Ass marketing, behold the trailer below.

  • If this film gets an "R" rating it will dominate the box office for a number of weeks. People love hybrid films; A film which takes something fantastic and makes it realistic.

The preview matched the title, so I'm in. For me though, McLovin+Beast Boy= Kick Ass.
  • Thanks for the video links and the great write up on the article. I would really agree with the title he cant read the mind but can definitely do some action.

I'm in. Looks fun, but it looks like it might take itself just serious enough to engage in a killer story. But yeah, as already said it probably won't be a huge box office hit. And Big Daddy is Nick Cage right?

that's one of those movies that will be in the theater for 1 week and on dvd the next..
  • Looks fun, but I could totally kick all their asses. Red Mist has the right idea of a super power - guns.
