The final poster for Rob Zombie’s aptly named Halloween 2 has appeared online thanks to our brothers-in-sinema, Shock Till You Drop.  The tagline “family is forever,” for you not so intellectually inclined, refers to Michael Meyers’ endless devotion to tracking down his family members and murdering them in cold blood.  I’d be willing to bet a small amount that Zombie, if he isn’t thinking about a third installment, might even let Mikey win this one.  He’s certainly about to put the hurt on some young lady in this poster.

Personally, I’m not crapping my pants over this movie or this poster.  Why is Meyers in about 4 feet of grass?  Strange.  But it gets the point across – Mikey is a big dude who loves knives and killing.  Halloween 2 hits theaters on August 28th.

Don't go in the long grass Michael, don't go in the long grass!!!!

This poster needs some serious recall work. Why IS there grass on the poster? Why is Michael holding a lock of hair, is he collecting them in this sequel?

I'll see it anyway and then see the unrated eddition on DVD. DOUBLE DIP, baby!
  • If you look close you can see some forehead. He's not holding a lock of hair, he's holding some girl by the hair about to do some serious stabbin. Still not a great poster. But I will see it in theaters.

to be honest, i didnt really *love* zombies take on halloween the 1st time, dont get me wrong, it was a good film, the more realistic take was really great, but because it was more realistic, it kinda lost any "supernaturalness" that the old movies had, so it was more a really good psycho killer film than a halloween film

The tag line to "Texas Chainsaw Massacre III" was "The Saw Is Family." Using movie logic, does that mean that "The Saw Is Forever"?

I would never hire that guy to do my lawn. Using a chef's knife isn't efficient at all.

I'm excited for this movie, but that poster, eh, not so much. The "Family is Forever" tagline is a little lame.
