I like Boreanaz as an actor -- I've always been a huge fan of Angel and Bones, for example -- but I don't see him as Hal Jordan. Nathan Fillion seems a much better choice to me. Chris Pine? Maybe he could play Kyle Raynor, but he needs a few more years to pass as Hal Jordan. Seann William Scott as Guy Gardner is a very interesting suggestion. One thing I want to see is Jeffrey Combs as one of the Guardians. He's already comfortable with blue makeup from Star Trek Enterprise. :-)

I liked David Boreanaz as Hal in the New Frontier. And hell, he looks like Hal in real life. So why not cast him? What if they cast Pine and Star Trek isn't as awesome as everyone hopes and his stock declines majorly? Granted, GL could pick it right back up, but still. I'd rather see someone who is more familiar and recognizable in the role. A.k.a, someone who's already played Hal.

Now why didn't I think of Sean Wiliam Scott? You're right, he'd be better than Reynolds.

Oh HELL no not the Warrior - that's when I stopped reading it. Why is it when a character finally gets his/her own book, the writing turns stupid??

Good question, Dragonmum. If I had my druthers, I would say Rowdy Roddy Piper (back in his They Live days). Nowadays though, maybe Seann William Scott (slap a bowl haircut on 'em. He's got the prickish attitude down when he played Stifler)? Or barring that (acting ability aside), maybe that guy who played Johnny Storm in the Fantastic 4 movies?

Just DO NOT make Guy into The Warrior. Good Lord, we don't need that!

Ditto that! So there's a question: who do you see as Guy? If he wasn't already playing the merc-with-a-mouth, I'd pick Ryan Reynolds.

All I'm saying, is that Guy Gardner better show up. Even if it's a cameo that sets up something in a sequel, that would be fine. But dammit, I wanna see Guy in all his asshole-ish glory!

As long as Martin Campbell's directing this, I'm sure it's going to go the right away. Casino Royale was a darn good 'origins' movie of sorts.
