Movie News By Neil Miller on September 3, 2009 | (3) Comments
Just days after we reported that the release The Green Hornet was being pushed back five months, we have received official word from Columbia Pictures that the production has now officially begun. In addition to the start of production, the Michel Gondry directed film has also added a few names to its cast list, including Tom Wilkinson (Valkyrie) and David Harbour (Revolutionary Road).
The film’s cast already consists of Seth Rogen, who also co-wrote with Superbad writing partner Evan Goldberg, Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou as Kato and Edward James Olmos. Nicolas Cage is said to be in active negotiations as well. The Neal H. Moritz produced project is shooting entirely in Los Angeles, and is based upon “The Green Hornet” radio series created by George W. Trendle. It has a scheduled release date of December 17, 2010.
