Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on August 16, 2007

Here is something to get excited about. Someone over at Rope of Silicon pointed us in the direction of a slew of photos from The Dark Knight that landed on someone’s Flickr account. There were 18 photos all smashed together, so we decided to cut them up for you and present them in their hi-res glory below.

At the request of the Studio, these pictures have been removed.

  • When is the movie being released?

    Structural Web

Christian Bale plays the best Batman yet. I loved Batman Begins and can't wait to see its successor.
  • JokerMan
Most of the pics look good, but I'm not impressed at all by the Joker. The Joker didn't wear makeup, his skin was actually chalk white and his lips were red and his face was frozen in the rictus grin. Batman Begins was a great movie, I really hope they don't screw up the Joker with this one, he's the ultimate Batman villain.

Joker with make-up?! What's up with that? Also, scroll up a picture or two, the one with Bruce and Alfred....Alf is bigger than Bruce! Poor casting....its all about the rubber suit. Could we please get a hero that at least in one movie actually looks like the comics???
  • It looks like Batman still cannot turn his head.
  • kyle
I think the joker twist might be that he was up to no good before the accident, using makeup as his disguise. The accident is then some sort of self, fulfilling prophesy where he becomes actually disfigured. Just a guess. Otherwise, it makes as little sense to me that he would be in makeup before the accident, unless they are messing with the order of the films.
  • Nice! The breaking glass is cool.

The Joker in "The Dark Knight" is based off of The Joker's first two comic book appearances, it never said in those first comics whether or not he wore make up or if that's the way he really looks. There's never been an official Joker origin.
  • Todd
Gooch is right there never was an official Joker origin he was just The Red Hood before the accident no real name just a red hood

Did you notice that there is a new batman suit, one is like the old one from the Batman Begins, the other is like the robotic shit from the other Batman horrible movies, this new suit SUCKS!
The joker looks realistic and I think thats the director aproach, remeber the scarecrow, he wasnt a scarecrow at all, but he was nicely realistic shaped.
This joker looks more fuck up and the joker is a really fuck up character!
