Imagine your Michelangelo getting a chance to step into the world depicted on the Sistine Chapel. Or Dali standing next to a real-life melting clock. Now imagine you’re doing this without the aid of recreational drugs.

Famed artist Dave Gibbons got to experience this for himself as he stepped foot on the set of Watchmen – the vision he created with Allan Moore.

Zack Snyder’s official website has and will have more reactions from Gibbons as he walks around the smoky streets, passing the newsstand where he could pick up a copy of Tales of the Black Freighter.

Let’s just hope he doesn’t run into President Nixon.
