GI JOE: Sienna Miller Looks Bloody, Yet Still Stylish

Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on May 26, 2008

Sienna Miller as The BaronessSpy photos have been flowing in over the past few weeks from the set of Paramount Pictures’ 2009 summer tentpole G.I. Joe (Currently shooting under the name “Dark Sky”). The production moved a few weeks back from the backlots of L.A. to the streets of Prague, where spies and their cameras were eagerly awaiting their arrival. Since that time we have seen Channing Tatum in goofy plastic armor, we have seen Snake Eyes attack a Hummer and we have seen videos (which would eventually be taken down) of Stephen Sommers channeling Michael Bay with the flipping of cars.

Today we get the the photo to the right, which comes to us from IESB, a look at a very bloody, yet still fabulous Sienna Miller as The Baroness. She appears to have either just had an action sequence or a run in with some paparazzi. Either way, when you head over to IESB and see the full photo, you will notice that she is sporting a fantastic handbag. Is that Prada?

I will admit that Sienna looks sexy as the Baroness, but that may not be ample substitute for her so-so acting ability. Then again, even her so-so acting ability tops this particular cast — with the obvious exception of Ray Park, who is the man.

The G.I. Joe production as a whole has done nothing yet to impress me, but it goes without saying that I will not be able to pass full judgement until I see at least a teaser trailer, which probably won’t happen until Winter at the earliest. Until then, I say bring on more silly plastic armor and Prada handbags!

G.I. Joe hits theaters on August 7, 2009.

Sound Off: How does Sienna Miller in tight leather pants make you feel?
