GI Joe Casting: Dominic West Not Destro

A lot can happen in the span of a few hours. Dominic West (300) went from “confirmed” as evil arms dealer James McCullen Destro, more commonly called by the badass moniker of just Destro to unconfirmed in what seemed like a matter of moment.

IESB.net is following the events closely and after contacting Paramount found that Dominic West is NOT going to play Destro, and in fact, he’s not even one of the options. LatinoReview had previously reported him as cast.

The announcement of Destro’s castings till looms on the horizon and I thought Dominic West would have made a great Destro. Hopefully they’ve got someone even better in the wings.

GI Joe begins filming this Spring for a Fall 2009 release.

If your looking for a excellant Destro why not Dominic Purcell(the guy from Prison Break) He already has experience in the comic book-ish movies with Blade Trinity and has the build for a destro.
