More and more major releases are doing cool things with MySpace these days. For example, when 300 was released members were given the ability to add 300 photos to their profiles. With the release of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End rapidly approaching, the Hollywood marketing machine has once again tapped the resources of the web’s biggest community for a little marketing genius.
If you head on over to the At World’s End MySpace profile you will be able to download a slick little gadget that will “Piratize” a picture of you. It allows you to choose between various hair, face, jewelry and eye combinations to make yourself look more like a pirate. Want to look like Captain Jack? Want to see what your radio co-host looks like as the creepy swamp witch lady? It can all be done here.
I have to say this has to be one of the cooler movie marketing tools that I have seen in a long time. It makes you wonder what will be next for Hollywood. How about a gadget that will transform your voice into Optimus Primes? Alright enough Transformers talk, this is Pirates week! Head on over to the At World’s End MySpace Profile for more…
And just for fun, here are some of your favorite Film School Rejects as Pirates. Kevin Carr is uber-scary looking, but he ain’t so bad as a Pirate…
