Get a Sneak Peek at Shane Acker’s 9

One of the most exciting thing that will happen in my life over the course of the next week is a movie screening. You’d think that was lame, until I told you that the screening is of Shane Acker’s potentially amazing animated film 9.
Based on an Oscar-nominated short directed by Shane Acker, 9 is the post-apocalyptic story of a community of sewn-together refugees, left behind to carry on the spark of life after the complete fall of man. At the center of the story is 9, the leader of the group, who takes them out into the wilderness to face a world full of machines that want to destroy them.
It is a desperate fight for survival, packed with amazing visuals, as evidence by this cool new featurette that Focus Features has released this week. It features interviews with cast members Elijah Wood, Martin Landau and Jennifer Connelly, producers Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) and Tim Burton, and director Shane Acker.
