Gerwig Makes ‘Friends’ With Portman and Kutcher

For the record, I’d like to point out that I’m not making the 29th pun on the title of the film in my headline, so much as I’m straightforwardly saying that Greta Gerwig will be making the film Friends with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher.
According to what I could read on Variety before the pay wall came up, Gerwig has just been cast in the Always-Necessary Role of the Best Friend in the forthcoming romantic comedy which sees Portman and Kutcher attempting bump uglies without letting feeling or emotions get in the way.
We’ll see how that goes for them.
Gerwig was just seen in The House of the Devil and Greenberg.
The film is being directed by Ivan Reitman who has a lot on his plate after not directing anything since My Super Ex-Girlfriend back in 2006. The question, as I’m sure genre nerd will agree, is whether this will take precedence over Ghostbusters III.
