the problem is this
Marvel is a comic book company so they get their business handled

DC used to be a comic book company now it is just a small part of some sort of entertainment machine with other priorities.

If DC wants to compete on the big screen they need their autonomy again. it's not likely to happen so I am betting that eventually DC gets replaced as the other comic super-power by someone like topcow or image et.al.

I actually really like the idea of Megan Gale as Wonder Woman. WW is supposed to be unnaturally tall woman. Shes also not a kid, being 30 something she would mix well with Christan Bale, and other A listers of the near the same age.

Being:
Superman - Brandon Routh: Same suit, different attitude... not so quite
Batman - Christian Bale: Shouldn't put on tites until the second installment
Wonder Woman - Megan Gale: a foreigner would really help wiith the idea that shes not from here and she's tall/ minus the stupid "stars" costume
Flash - (Ryan Reynolds maybe): I can't think of anyone else
Green Lantern - Taye Diggs: A dramatic not overly popular actor, but good enough to have presents
Martian Manhunter - Hank Azaria: A versatile voice actor, and a forehead! important
Hawk (Girl) - Jessica Biel: I could dream about her in wings

Cat woman was a bad idea, she was a customized character for Halle Berry, which is why the movie has to stand alone. But she should have be Vixen... a slightly lesser known JLA member.

Oh, and FF Rocked! and Will Rock!! FOREVER!!!

Having Bale's Batman show up in JL will look so retarded. It is the complete opposite of what Nolan is working for. But who else are you going to put in the role without completely pissing everybody off? Miller is an decent director, but his cast is completely f'd up.

WB should also turn the Wonder Woman movie over to the Wachowskis.

The main hurdle I see is that Chritian Bale is not going to be a supporting actor to a movie that gives him maybe 30 minutes tops when he can be producing other features. So that leaves the spot of Batman open to either another actor or not part of the film at all.

That Wonder Woman idea is exactly what fans have been saying for the past year and a half and what the studio hasn't been listening to for just as long.

The Justice League thing has been a Charlie Foxtrot from the beginning, especially considering the story concept they were towing around - the worst part being the absence of Batman and Superman from the team.

But...doing a Marvel-style revamp has got to be a bit of a blow to their egos. It's working well for Marvel, but whether WB/DC should follow suit is still pretty questionable to me. The first step is for WB to stop looking at DC properties as cartoonish, comic book movies and begin seeing them as dramas that happen to involve extraordinary people with extraordinary backgrounds.

Perhaps TDK will help them see the light of that. Or maybe the best idea is to ditch origin stories altogether. It's easy to create a character that doesn't have an origin - movies do it all the time - why filmmakers insist on it for comic book films is beyond me. A little air of mystery is never a bad thing. Especially if your origin is so fantastical that you have no choice but to make the rest of the story so utterly cheesy that it tanks.

Give us a real person inside the suit, and we'll keep paying the box office.

The Justice League thing has been a Charlie Foxtrot from the beginning, especially considering the story concept they were towing around – the worst part being the absence of Batman and Superman from the team.

But…doing a Marvel-style revamp has got to be a bit of a blow to their egos. It’s working well for Marvel, but whether WB/DC should follow suit is still pretty questionable to me.

It’s easy to create a character that doesn’t have an origin – movies do it all the time – why filmmakers insist on it for comic book films is beyond me. A little air of mystery is never a bad thing. Especially if your origin is so fantastical that you have no choice but to make the rest of the story so utterly cheesy that it tanks.

Give us a real person inside the suit, and we’ll keep paying the box office.

That Wonder Woman idea is exactly what fans have been saying for the past year and a half and what the studio hasn't been listening to for just as long.

You what the smart thing for WB to do would be? Boot up the movie franchises of all the main JLA players (Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Superman & Martian Manhunter), blow us away with their awesomeness and then make a JLA movie. And when I talk about the Superman franchise, I mean reboot it completely and make Lex Luthor a corrupt business man instead of a career cirminal with an obsession for real estate.

Marvel is doing it the smart way, giving a proper movie treatment for Captain America, introducing the mainstream audiences to lesser known Marvel characters like Iron Man, Ant Man and their version of Thor before doing an Avengers movie. That way, fans of the individual movies will go see the Avenger movies. Plus they can introduce some of the female Anvengers in the ensemble movie.

WB has never had it together when it came to properly utilizing the DC Universe in theatrical form and it is truly sad. I say ditch this stupid JLA movie, cast Megan Gale as Wonder Woman and focus on getting that character the proper movie treatment before any ensemble comic movies do lasting damage to DC characters that non-comic fans have no clue about.
