French 9 Trailer: Even With Subtitles, This Movie Looks Badass
Movie News By Neil Miller on July 9, 2009 | (6) Comments
Beloved FSR reader Tommy C. sent over (though we’ve since determined that it came from Allocine) the latest international trailer for the upcoming post-apocalyptic stitch punk actioner (that’s what they’re calling it now) 9 this morning. And while I know that you all can’t read the French subtitles, rest easy. This trailer is (a) actually in English and (b) yet another awe-inspiring look at the brilliance of this film.
Directed by Shane Acker and based on one of his own short films, 9 follows the story of nine stitched up heroes who were created by a brilliant scientist during the final days of humanity. Now they are tasked with stopping a robot-led apocalypse and maybe, just maybe find out how to hold on to the essence of humanity. It’s a wicked cool premise with more than one wicked cool trailers.
For service in English, please check out the most recent theatrical trailer. For service in French (subtitles), please see the player below.
9 hits theaters on September 9, 2009. It features the voice talents of Elijah Wood, Crispin Glover, Jennifer Connelly, John C. Reilly, Christopher Plummer, and Martin Landeau.
