Freddy Krueger: A High-Res Shadow of His Former Self
Movie News By Neil Miller on December 3, 2009 | (12) CommentsWarner Bros. has released another high resolution photo of Jackie Earle Haley as the iconic dream-invading baddie Freddy Krueger in the upcoming remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. As you can see in the image (above, click to enlarge), the Samuel Bayer directed remake appears to have an almost shot-for-shot resemblance to the original. Although as we’ve reported before, the tone of this new Nightmare is going to be less humorous (in the darkly funny way that the first one presented Freddy) and more serious, disturbing. Should be interesting to see how that plays out, although I have a bit of confidence in producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, who pulled off a solid update of Friday the 13th earlier this year.
What are your thoughts on the return of Freddy Krueger?
