Four ‘Justice League’ Actors Unmasked

Posted by Michelle Graham (michelle@filmschoolrejects.com) on November 18, 2007

George Miller’s Justice League of America is coming along in leaps and bounds, they’re even ready to release the cast list! What a pity that some websites such as FirstShowing.net, AICN and IESB are reporting several leaked names, stealing all that thunder from him. As Alex at FirstShowing advises, it’s wise to keep these strictly in the rumor column for the moment, but it’s still good to know that things are progressing, it really has been a long time coming after all, with a lot of rumors along the way. From FirstShowing:

Adam Brody (”The O.C.”, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Thank You For Smoking) will play The Flash/Wally West.
Rapper Common (Smokin’ Aces and American Gangster) will play Green Lantern/John Stewart.
Scott Porter (Music and Lyrics and Speed Racer) will play Superman/Clark Kent.
Teresa Palmer (The Grudge 2 and December Boys) will play Talia Al Ghul.

The Flash and Superman are pretty well known faces in the comic book world, even to a novice like me (The Flash is very very very fast, and Superman is, well, Superman), I recognize the Green Lantern, but Talia Al Ghul is a new name on my radar and the Green Lantern rings more of a triangle than a bell. It seems that Talia is Ra’s Al Ghul’s daughter (he who appeared in Batman Begins in the form of Liam Neeson), and is to be a love interest of Batman. The Green Lantern is part of an intergalactic police force, called the Green Lantern Corps, and according to Wikipedia, “Each Green Lantern possesses a power ring that gives the user great control over the physical world as long as the wielder has sufficient willpower and strength to wield it.”
