First Underdog Trailer Swoops In

All the way back in March when I first found out that there would be a live-action Underdog movie starring Jason Lee as the voice of Underdog himself, I felt a tingle in my spine. Not to be confused with the twinge in my groin while watching the most recent Transformers trailer, this tingle was my film critic Spidey-sense telling me to beware. Despite the fact that I am a big fan of both Jason Lee and the Underdog cartoons, there was no way that this could turn out well.

Of course, now that I have finally seen the first trailer, I am beginning to warm to the film. Don’t count me in as a fan just yet, but at least the film doesn’t look that bad. I will allow you to draw your own conclusions by watching the trailer below:

A talking dog, super powers and a villian with “little man” syndrome? If they don’t bill this as a kid’s flick, it is dead in the water. We shall see…
