First Twilight Teaser Trailer is Eerie, Intriguing
Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on May 5, 2008
We have been giving a lot of love lately to the upcoming film Twilight, which is based on the immensely successful series of books by Stephenie Meyer. I must say, I ordered up this intensified coverage because I have never before seen a rabid fanbase such as this one, not since LOTR, Harry Potter or even Star Wars or Star Trek — these “Twilighters”, as they like to call themselves, are something else entirely. With that in mind, we are absolutely interested in keeping an eye on Twilight, as there must be something to it, whether or not we fully understand what that is yet or not.
Above you will find the first teaser trailer for the film adaptation, which stars Kristen Stewart (Into the Wild) as a young girl who falls in love with a vampire, played by Harry Potter alum Robert Pattinson. Catherine Hardwicke, who previously directed Lords of Dogtown and The Nativity Story, is in the directors chair. The film will see a theatrical release on December 12, 2008. It is currently still in the filming stages of production.
Stay tuned right here to FSR, as we will be bringing you updates on Twilight as they become available. Also, take a look at the first official cast photo below:

Man that is a lot of brooding!
May 5th, 2008 at 9:30 pm
The old piggy-back-while-flying-move. Yes, I’ve used that one on quite a few ladies. They don’t like getting hit in the face with tree limbs, but on the whole it seems to work.

I know I’m gonna get flamed to high heaven, and I know it’s only a teaser, but it didn’t wow me. Obviously as an outsider to the series, I won’t get all the intensity without some explanation, but so far it’s looking like something I’d watch, but it’s not kickstarting the adrenaline the way TDK did with all its teasers/trailers. I’ll wait for the next one and see a bit more of the movie before making up my mind whether I’m anticipating it highly or not. Obviously I want to see it, the question is how much! :)
The brooding and sparks flying between Bella and Edward is cute though. Edward’s got a very James Dean look to him too…

As a super-fan of the series, I really loved the teaser! It gave ME everything I could have asked for!
However, I am trying to look at this very first tiny teaser trailer through the eyes of those who have never really heard of it, don’t know why there’s all this intensity…etc. I have to admit that through those eyes I must say that this trailer didn’t offer much for the non-twilighter. I only said ‘didn’t offer much’ not ‘didn’t offer anything’. Hopefully, the non-twilighter viewers will not view this tiny snippet of a trailer and completely write off, not only the movie, but the books as well.
That being said–I now put back on the cloak of my devotion to all things Twilight and simply say—OMG!!! It was BEAUTIFUL! I was giggling and sighing all the way through the 30+ times I watched it! *sigh* I can’t wait for more!
May 6th, 2008 at 8:40 am
I LOVE this teaser. I mean this was obviously put together before they had even finished filming. It is amazing, can you imagine how much more amazing the actual trailer will be.. not to mention the movie. If this 56 some second clip can bring so much umph to the “Twilighters” I just can’t wait to see what a normal one would do.
I feel the need to say… I really really want more.. like now. Because I am greedy like that :)
May 6th, 2008 at 10:32 am
oh wow! i am too excited!!!
cannot wait!
May 6th, 2008 at 11:56 am
Oh My Edward!!! We are soooo excited…trying to breathe…is it December yet;)
May 6th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
Just as any other Twilighter (or maybe I should just speak for myself), I watched this teaser trailer over and over and over… and over again. I’m pretty sure that I burned holes in my monitor and that, despite that I am a “grown woman”, myexcited squeels were heard by the huskies in Alaska. The trailer left me wanting MORE and I definitely cannot wait until December!
Now, that being said, I do agree with some of the folks here that to the average non-Twilighter, this trailer does not say much about what the movie is about, and it might not hook new potential viewers all that much. It’s definitely enough for Robert Pattinson fans to want to see the film, but honestly, how many non-Twilighters (who shall hencforth be be called “the others”) and non-Harry Potter fans in the U.S. know of Robert? The others will wonder what the deal is with the running deer, and they won’t understand what “living forever” means. After all, there are no indications in the trailer that the movie involved vampires. What we do see is a boy with super-human strength. As for Edward being 17 years old “for a while”, it cuold very well mean he’d been 17 for 9 months - that’s a while, isn’t it? Am I about to be burned at the stake now for saying all this? ;P
That was for the benefit of “the others” of course. The trailer is a huge piece of candy for us Twilighters who know what’s going on. It just makes us want more. And I mean MORE. I don’t think we really can get enough of Twilight… can we?
May 6th, 2008 at 3:52 pm
Thank you for making even more buzz about the movie!!!
[…are something else entirely. With that in mind, we are absolutely interested in keeping an eye on Twilight, as there must be something to it, whether or not we fully understand what that is yet or not…]
YES! we are something else entirely!!! :D and thank you for been interested in this!! you will not regret it!!! so give us more news and updates!!!
the fandom will not stay quiet! :D
thank you!!
May 6th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
Omg. When i saw this the first time, i nearly passed out! I found that i had been holding my breath through the whole trailer! It is so awesome! Ive memorized the whole thing now, and could recite it in my sleep!
Thanks so much!
May 6th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
perfect! simply and completely brilliant. its just a teaser, not the entire trailer people…and yet. a teaser-thats exactly what it did.
i. want. more.
May 6th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
I LOVE this series…litterally i am obsessed. I watched this clip lite 5 bajillion times. I can’t wait for the movie. I am gonna be the one who goes and sees it at least ten times(more like 35) in theaters
May 6th, 2008 at 6:29 pm
btw thanks twilightextremists.com for the info!
May 6th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
As a Twilighter, this teaser was literally my dream come true…
I haven’t stopped replaying it since it came out…
But, if I were looking through this through a non-reader’s eyes, I’d be confused… BUT
intrigued! Personally, I’d definitely have to know what this was about if I saw this ad… just
because well one who can deny Rob’s blatant sex appeal ;), Kristen Stewart’s in it (great
actress), and it’s sooooo mysterious; I’d have to know more.
That being said, back to being a Twilighter -
I’ll never be the same after this…… =D
May 6th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
and thanks twilightlexicon for the update!!!
May 6th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
In defense of the appeal to non readers… Hence the title “TEASER” trailer. There’s still plenty of time to get the full-length one out. This is just a snippet. It’s supposed to make you wonder… “What… the… heck?”
Why is he able to live forever?
What’s the story with him having to stay away from the girl?
OMG! He just dented a truck!
May 6th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
Words can not describe how excited I am! I can’t wait till december 12th!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way Edward looks at Bella after he just messed up that van! *heart
fluttering* Talk about a swoonfest! OMG!
May 6th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
The trailer wowed my to the next level of yayness! If you have never read the series your probably wondering why there standing around in the middle of a forest or why he has super human strength, but doesnt it make the fil even more appealing. I think so
Anyway, I thought this trailer was so great, my family thought I was going into shock from the excitment
May 6th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
OMG!!!!! that’s all i have to say…i watched this movie a ???? number of times since it came out!! I watch it like 8 times before school, 14 times in my buisness class, 89, 000 times when i get home….how many days has it been out…well u do the math!! haha!! Rob is deffinately verrrrryyy good looking..hence the TEASER part..hah. And also i agree that non-twilighters would probably not get anything about this trailer….so all the more reason to put out another one….:D
LIKE NOW!!!! and the picture too had me droolinn on my keyboard!! :P
Thanks Twilight Lexicon
May 6th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
not a twilighter. found it hilarious. will see movie.
May 6th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
No complaints here, it was amazing :’D
May 6th, 2008 at 7:01 pm
I liked the way they did this teaser. It has that eery mystical sort of feel. Almost like an M night Shamylan(sp?) teaser trailer. It wasn’t the best teaser ever but it really showed that this movie is NOT going to be cheese..its dark and intense and I am so glad they are doing this movie like that. Sure those lines in the trailer were kind of cheesy but most of them came straight from the book and I will admit that the book can get cheesy but that can be overlooked b/c of the intense relationship between Edward and Bella. So anyway I am pumped for this movie.
May 6th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
This is awesome!! I love the trailer, and I can’t wait to see the movie!! I as well, wish to give thanks to Twilight Lexicon!
May 6th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
As a fellow Twilighter I *loved* this trailer. The only negative I have is that it wasn’t long
enough. I need more!!
If I looked at this from an outsider perspective, I would be intrigued but also sort of
confused. It doesn’t clearly define that Edward is a vampire and what else the story is
about, but it would still leave me wanting to know more and interested in seeing the movie.
And the chemistry between Rob and Kristen is amazing!!
Thanks for keeping up the Twilight news - all the Twilight Moms and other Twilighters
appreciate the love!
May 6th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
OMG!
I was shaking, my hands gripped the edge of my seat and I screamed like a school girl! O MY GOODNESS! This brightened up my entire day, and probaby the rest of the week! I think I’m going to go watch this a hundred more times now!
May 6th, 2008 at 7:14 pm
Thanks for your Twilight coverage! It is so nice to see so much attention given to this movie. I have been a huge fan of the books for the past couple years and this movie has sent me into complete hysterics. I was frantic yesterday when the trailer was posted and it left me completely useless all day because I had to watch it over and over. I am 28 and obsessed. :)
May 6th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
I didn’t just watch this five times in a row or anything.
*heart attack* HO JEBUS that was way too much excitement. 8DD
May 6th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
I read Twilight two weeks ago. It took me two days to read the entire book. As soon as I put it down I went and bought New Moon and Eclipse. I finished those in the next to days. So, I am a farely new Twilight fan, but I find myself sitting at the computer till midnight searching the web for the newest review, homemade trailer, photos, interviews… and the like. This past Friday I went to the movies, thinking Speed Racer was out just so I could see the trailer. So, you can imagine how two weeks has changed my out look on Twilight.
IF you’ve read the book, you know that the teaser trailer was 52 seconds of holding on to the computer desk trying not to pass out. AND you know you watched it more than 30 times.
IF YOU HAVEN’T read the books, you are still in for a treat. The movie is going to be one for the guys and girls, so I’m sure everyone will be satisfied.
With all that said, now I can be my true self and say: I literally screamed when my friend told me the trailer was out! The way Edward looked at Bella when he jumped in front of the truck said SOOO much. He was thinking “Why did I just do that?!” (and I melted.) hehe. So, August can’t come soon enough for Breaking Dawn to come out and I’m beginning to wonder if December will ever get here.
Go read Twilight, it’s worth it.
May 6th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
As an Uber-fan I loved it. *embarasing hyperventilation ensued*
But I made my hubby watch, and while he says he’ll see it, he didnt get the teaser trailer and says it looked kinda “homemade”. Summit would be wise in my opinion to gear the real trailer toward the action parts to draw in the male crowd, as the femal crowd is probably gonna see it regardless.
May 6th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
I was hyperventilating as I watched it. It was better than I ever imagined. Robert and Kristen are perfect!
May 6th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
I loved this trailer! The first five times I watched it, i was frozen. I seriously couldnt move or breathe!!! Then, the next twenty something times I saw it, I couldnt stop screaming so my mom came in to see what i was yelling about Lol!
May 6th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
((Oh and thank you Twilight Lexicon for the update!))
May 6th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
Edwards not all that i hoped for, but no human could ever be. Isn’t Edward supposed to have reddish hair?
But i Still LUV it. N’ i’m ttly jealous Of Bella!
This movies gunna ROCK!
May 6th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yay movie love the book making my whole school read it so they can see the move.
May 6th, 2008 at 8:32 pm
OMG OMG OMG OMG (i could do that FOVEVER!!) Now first i will adress “the others”.First of all you need to seriously go buy all three books and trusts me the second you finsh Twilight, or in the middle of it, you will go through the rite of passage, ie: Screaming everytime Edward (heart flutter) is mentioned, and you will BE a Twilighter. p.s. i like Jake 2 (;. OK now for my sister and brother, fellow Twilighters u r my true family (ill see ya at the movies on 12-12-08, and mabye we can share a tent outside Barnes and Nobels on Agu. 2?) We need to untie to educate “the others”. Ive gotten friends (that r guys) that have prob. never picked up a book in there life, much less the most forkin’ (Fork cuss words, c how im obssed?) awesome book. And they have devored all three books in one sitting, much like me. Also i have to make a shoutout to the smexyest person alive………(drum roll plez!)……ROBERT/CEDRIC/EDWARD!! <3 <3 when i saw him smile in this vid. i swear all my bones melted!!! OMG!! Wait i think i have remberd something i forgot to say……………………….ummm…..waht was it?…………………..OH YA……………………….OMG!!!! (;
May 6th, 2008 at 9:56 pm
OMG!!! doesn’t rob look sexy as hell!!! he gets hotter every day! :DD -sigh- can’t dec. come any sooner! *pulling hair* x)
May 6th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
Like all the others…. OMG/OME!!!! I just love this trailer. And one of my friends still hasn’t read the book, *(Guys I ahve been trying forvever… ;-])* and she was like “wow. that really makes me want to read the book (and consequently see the movie)” but she is a “movie person”… Like someone above ^^^ I think for the non-twilighter this is supposed to make you think “what the heck??” And I think is does just that. And for us that are super-obessesed with rob *(waves to Rob like he can actually see me…)* it gives us two more minutes we can stare at that gorgeous face…. I was SCREAMING when I saw this. Literally. So to all of you not so sure, watch it again and see that LOOK in rob’s eyes after the car crash. JUST LOOK. To steal Stehpenie’s pharse “that is all”…
P.S. ^^^ to Rhiannon above…. my name is Rhiannon too (Rhi-rhi for short)!!!! I thought I was the only one. People who the name Rhiannon who read Twilight are cool (like me… not really), so you must be too ;-] GO TWILIGHT!
May 6th, 2008 at 10:16 pm
Okay, I’m not criticizing the movie… it hasn’t come out yet. And I’m not ripping the books… I haven’t read them, don’t plan to read them, and they’re irrelevant to this post anyway. I’m just objectively commenting on the teaser above.
It’s not good. It’s also not crap, so there’s that, but it really isn’t good. Teasers and trailers are supposed to draw people in and make them want to see the film. But everyone who loves (or even really likes) this teaser was already a fan of the books. To the rest of us it’s just a glorified CW Network ad. And honestly, at least from that sample, Pattinson is a pretty bad actor and the dialogue is ridiculous.
That said, I’ll wait until a proper and full trailer comes out before I decide if I’ll be seeing this in the theater. I realize the movie is still in post-production and they’re still working on the effects and action scenes. This advanced teaser is meant solely to whet the appetites of teenage girls (both in body and mind) until book four comes out in August. That’s smart marketing at the very least.
May 6th, 2008 at 10:38 pm
To Rob:
I respect your opinion, you’re entitled. But just a few things to clarify:
1. The principle photography just ended on May 2nd, so yes, post production hadn’t even begun before they managed to get the trailer out…which is amazing for a small studio. They “get” this fan base, better than most other studios who have been doing this a long time, so it is geared to the fans. We haven’t even seen ANYTHING from HARRY POTTER yet, and they’ve been in production since SEPTEMBER!!
2. Robert Pattinson has managed to bring actual dialog from the book to life in a way that, again, the fans GET. He’s going to deliver, even if this didn’t give him as much to “sink his teeth into.”
3. I think the actual trailer will give you more of the action and chemistry, but this is an honest representation of the source material, which is essential for this to do well. Do you hear that FOX? They butchered ERAGON and I think Summit is aware of that.
Thanks for your coverage. The fact that you have begun to cover this extensively shows that even if you don’t understand the fanaticism you understand that ignoring it would be a mistake. I loved the trailer—ask my sons, who watched me SQUEEE like a 13 year old!!
May 6th, 2008 at 10:39 pm
Extremely smart marketing. They definitely know how to make us fans salivating to see the movie. I agree the last 5 seconds of him flying into the woods was a tad cheesy, but other than it was fabulous. We really can’t judge Robert’s acting off of 59 seconds. In my opinon, I think the mystery of the trailer will draw people in. They weren’t just like “I’M A VAMPIRE!”.
I especially love: “How old are you?” “Seventeen” “How long have you been 17?” “…awhile”
Loved it!
May 6th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
Absolutely amazing!
May 6th, 2008 at 11:56 pm
Breathtaking. The chemistry was unbelievable. Robert only increases my respect for him
over and over again. I LOVED this teaser, and i cant wait to see more of what the actual
trailer will offer. This did not dissapoint.
May 7th, 2008 at 12:15 am
Damn it all, Edward is HOT. Robert is doing a fabulous job portraying, who I now consider to be, my favorite literary character. I know, I know, Twilight is far from literary genius, but I don’t even care! Edward Cullen is Stephenie’s genius. Him alone.
And Robert and Kristen are utterly fantastic together!! I can feel the heat between them, and I love it! And I thought the trailer was spectacular. I’ve even gotten over the flying thing and that stupid volvo. :D Robert makes up for it with his eye sex skills and that smirk that I swear is going to be the death of ME!
May 7th, 2008 at 12:39 am
thanks so much for the twilight coverage, and to the lexicon for the link…
i thought the teaser was great based on the fact that this was put together before the filming even finished.
And Rob: I also respect your opinion but I have to ask, how can you honestly judge robert’s acting skills from a 52 second teaser? or are you basing this on past experience?
And bad dialogue? Again, just from a few lines?
May 7th, 2008 at 1:57 am
I think this teaser shows us just the tip of the iceberg of whats to come for this film. Regardless of who likes the teaser and who doesnt us REAL twilight fans will be packing out the cinemas world wide when the movie comes out, i know myself and about 40 or so of my friends who all love twilight are planning a twilight dress up party the night b4 then going to the cinemas dressed up to the nines in our twilight costumes to see it on the first night of its release.
Rob looks hot as hell, totally the edward i had pictured in my mind and the on screen chemistry is just incredible.
May 7th, 2008 at 2:06 am
At the start when bella asks how how he is and he says 17 and stuff after she ask the next question and he says “a while” it sort of sounds like he his holdin his tounge!! But overalll IT WAS FABULOUS!!
May 7th, 2008 at 2:33 am
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! I’m am literally screaming! I can’t wait!
I love the whole crash scene. Perfect. Just how I pictured it!
This movie is looking FANTASTIC! I want another trailer!!!!
:D
May 7th, 2008 at 2:35 am
As any other Twilighter I’ve been super excited and checking everyday for something new from the movie, so you can imagine how excited I was when I saw that the teaser trailer had finally been released. I watched it, and was quite disappointed. The beginning is good but, like Rob said, Pattinson’s acting and the dialogue isn’t all that great, they sound monotone. But since this is only a little piece, I’ll wait until the real trailer comes out, and hopefully I’ll look forward to seeing the film again.
May 7th, 2008 at 2:41 am
Quite simply I love it.
I’m glad you will be covering Twilight. The more the better.
May 7th, 2008 at 3:31 am
i think i pee-d m pants when i first watched this. then i ran franticly around my house for my phone to tell EVERYONE to watch it.
rob is so freakin sexy, and when hes like “you really shouldn’t have said that” and smirks at her like that…GAH im just speechless
the next 7 months are going to be brutal. well at least we have breaking dawn! in 3 to tame us for awhile, then its right back on to counting down the days till this finally comes out!
LA LA LAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT!!!!!!
May 7th, 2008 at 5:15 am
Well, here is what I think.
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. HOLY EDWARD! BLADSKJDHABDYGNFAIYSTDBIASDUNSAIUDBHSD. CRAAAAAP!!! *insert profanities*
My reaction to seeing it was about ten million times worse.
I was hyperventilating and on the verge of tears. Robert is so unbelievably perfect for Edward it’s creepy. He was literally born for the role. AND KRISTEN! OMG. She is so bloody talented! Her movies are always so intense. I love her. She is perfect for Bella.
Oh, and the deer. He was perfect for his role. He was like running and then BAM!
May 7th, 2008 at 5:29 am
LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!!!
May 7th, 2008 at 6:03 am
So, I was studying for finals Monday when my middle school sister called and told me the Twilight teaser was up. After that I didn’t get back to studying for, oh, about two hours because I had to rewatch at least thirty times and call all my friends at other schools who are also into the books. That is the power of this series that a 13 year old girl and her college-senior sister can be obsessed over the same thing and, yes, are mom loves them too.
This teaser was more for the fans than anything. The director knows who’s going to be going to see her movie over and over again, especially if the Rob/Kristen chemistry is anything like we’ve seen in the trailer.
May 7th, 2008 at 7:45 am
I absolutely love the teaser, and that is all it is a tease. Granted it may not inform non-fans
of the premise of the film, but that is WHY it is a teaser. I think it was mostly just to give us
rabid fans something to *squeee* over until the next tidbit comes along. After all, they are
done filming now so random pics/interviews are probably out for a while. I definitely want
more.
May 7th, 2008 at 8:04 am
Ah the teaser teased and left us hungry for more. I swooned, screamed and giggled. Then I pressed play again, and again, and again. I don’t think I have ever watched a minute of video over and over like that, but like you said we are Twilighters, we love these books and seeing it on the big screen has most of us spinning out of control.
The teaser proved the Robert is a perfect Edward and Kristen an awesome Bella, they are both good actors and Catherine seems to have put a lot of love into this. Thank you for keeping an eye on all the Twilight stuff, it helps with the withdrawals whilst i’m at work…. Thanks
May 7th, 2008 at 9:32 am
hello out there, we twilighters in Australia are just dying to see this movie. We loved the teaser trailer and can’t wait for more. Can’t wait for August to read the conclusion of Bella and Edward’s story.
May 7th, 2008 at 10:48 am
I agree with those of you who are saying that this teaser is not much for “the others”, but I think it still manages to capture their interest. My grandfather and my brother (both of which know nothing about the books or the movie) watched the trailer at my request, just so that I could see what they, as non-Twilighters, would think about it. They were both extremely interested, asking multiple times when it was coming out. Neither one of them enjoy vampire themed movies, but they figured out that this was Twilight and they still want to see it.
Just an observation of mine.
My mother, sisters, cousin, and I, on the other hand, can’t wait for December! The teaser was enough to make all of us stop breathing and then scream like school-girls!! I still jump up and down in my chair just thinking about it!
May 7th, 2008 at 11:35 am
wow, im so siked for this. i have like, 10 ppl going opening day for it!!!!! go meriden twilght fans!!! b, j , l, ME, and all of us love the series!! looks amazing, i think rob is gonna pull it off!! <3
May 7th, 2008 at 12:18 pm
O: That looks entirely too amazing. They couldn’t have picked a better Edward!! <333. I can’t wait for it!!! I especially can’t wait to see the look on my aunts face when she sees this teaser!! n.n <3.
May 7th, 2008 at 12:50 pm
Personally I liked it. I know they have made alot of changes to the script and everything. One scene where i really saw the difference was the part where he says ” you really shouldn’t have said that” followed by him carrying Bella on his back. Which was certainly not in the book, but i loved it. Ofcourse they can’t have it the exact same way as it is in the book, or else i feel that the movie would be a bit dull. As long as they capture the theme and the true story i don’t really mind them changing the script that much. So overall i am really satisfied. Both actors have managed to slide into their characters beautifully. And I especially loved their eye-action. Because Edward does use his eyes to convey how he feels most of the time and i felt that just by watching Robert Pattinson in the crash scene.
To be honest saying I “liked” the teaser trailer is an understatment, because I was INSANLY thrilled after watching it! It was so good i could feel me shivering with delight. Catherine hardwicke captured everything PERFECTLY in my opinon. I loved the first forest scene, everything was so raw and woodsy. All the colours stood out and were so vibrant!
I also loved the way they had edited the teaser trailer. It was like they were showing only glints of the most exciting and intimate scenes. Now i suddenly get why they call them “teaser” trailers, because that is what they do XP
So I thought the whole thing was great! I am utterly satisfied, and the same goes for The official movie poster. I think Summit has done a GREAT job and that they along with Catherine have been faithfull to the book and it’s storyline, and that is all that matters. Just seeing the teaser trailer tells me, that not only is the Twilight saga my favourite book series of all time, it’s also going to be my favourite movie….
May 7th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
I LOVE this can’t wait for the real trailer!!!!! When I fist watched it I thought wow they screwed it up. But now I’m in total love with this movie and regret saying anything bad yesterday, so o make it up I went out and bought the Host!! IT is amazing so far. Anyway back to the movie I first watched it with my older sister and she is as we call them “an Other” and she thought toward the end that Edward was flying out the window and that he had super human speed like Supper man! Of course I have been shoving Twilight down my families throats since I read the book when it first came out. So she is pretty up to date with who everyone is and that they are vampires.
We got into this huge argument about Twilight and how it is not going to suck like Eragon. It ended with me winning but before that happened I had thrown a butter knife at her and missed but we were very caught up in the moment and in a very heated argument about the movie. She has sworn not to go see the stupid scare on a broom(Harry Potter) and that every time we see Twilight she will go.LOL.
I know everyone likes Bella for the most part but I really don’t like Kristen Stewart I do not like her acting at all but I’m giving her a chance with Bella, and I really don’t like Bella much I don’t think she deserves Edward. Anyway I’ll see what she can offer as Bella but I don’t think she looks the part.
The only thing I did not like from the teaser was that she asks him in the woods how old he was, I thought that should have been in the car. I heart Emmett but I’m worried that they will give the characters who don’t really talk much in the book a big voice and that will over power the character, like Emmett he did not talk much in the books but he had a very big personality and we all love him and I think giving him to may lines will over write who Emmett is. But what do I know? I think the first time Bella gets to “ride” with Edward should have been followed the book because that part was very memorable. Also What is up with Edwards room? I really don’t think he would have the typical teenage boy room like he does in the movie but oh well I still love it and support it all the way and I think it looks AMAZING, even more words want to come out of my head to describe it but noting is coming to mind so I’m just going to say GOO TWILIGHT!!! YOU ARE BETTER THEN A DUMB SCARE ON A BROOM!!!!
love all you Twilighters out there

I LOVE this can’t wait for the real trailer!!!!! When I fist watched it I thought wow they screwed it up. But now I’m in total love with this movie and regret saying anything bad yesterday, so to make it up I went out and bought the Host!!

But i didnt know my wish would come true soooo quick. My mom said i can go to the first showing (hopefully @ midnight) and shell pay for it if i read Breaking Dawn in one day (too easy) :). Thanks Twilight Lexicon for the link to this site!

I showed this to my brother (who has no clue what Twilight is about) and asked him to tell me what he thinks it’s about.
Within the first 20 seconds he goes:
Animorphs.
Hahahaha !

ahh they expect us to wait till December O_o OH MY EDWARD! i absolutely LUV, LUV,LUV it!
i noe its only 56 sec. but watever, i watched it who noes how many times! my computer
started freezing up =P ^_^ …and people who were complaining abt the video saying that it
doesn’t attract those non-twilighters, well..i think this is meant for people that are already
aware of the books and r HUGE fans cuz its a TEASER trailer!.. it is for the fans that Twilight
already have, obviously the OFFICIAL trailer will show more and summarize wat the story is
abt. This is definitely a tease…it just makes u want to to see more! omg! we want more! <3

“The old piggy-back-while-flying-move. Yes, I’ve used that one on quite a few ladies. They don’t like getting hit in the face with tree limbs, but on the whole it seems to work.” - Cole Abaius
*laughs aloud*
Brilliant.
Though he really is just jumping out of the window to start running.
Of course, those of you who haven’t read the books can’t know this. You also can’t know why he can live forever, why he’s hunting down deer (without any weapons), why he’s able to get across the parking lot in the space of about a second, why he’s able to stop a car with a single hand (and bring damage to the car), and why Bella (Kristen Stewart) is supposed to be scared of Edward.
And you have no idea who Emmett is (he happens to be the one telling Edward that associating with Ms. Swan is a big ol’ no-no).
Really, though, it IS a teaser. I mean, even if I didn’t know what this was it would make me curious. I would WANT to know the reason behind everything. Of course, I’m just a very curious person, but still.
For us Twilighters, though…ahem.
EHMAHGAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!XD
The excitement is overwhelming. It was bad enough before, but now I feel as though I might explode from the anticipation.
OhhhhmyEdwardthisisgoingtobeincredible.
P.S. Someone mentioned Robert’s hair and how it wasn’t red enough. Edward’s hair isn’t RED; it’s bronze, which I suppose has a more coppery-red tone to it, but still.
I think his hair looks great. Actually, I just love Robert as Edward in general, but of course that’s my personal opinion.
P.P.S. *SQUEE*

I’ve already commented on a million sites on how excited I am…
But I enjoy reading comments from people who are NOT Twilighters… just to see what they thought.
May 7th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
I totally agree about reading what non-twilighters think… cuz from that perspective (which I can’t fathom) it might not be that interesting… and after seeing the poster/picture I REALLY hope they don’t make it look “vampire-y”! :(
But going back into the outrageous “Twilighter” that I am who has been spending hours & hours of every day finding any new tidbit of info on the books/movie… I think I almost fainted watching this!!! I was seriously hyperventilating to the point of tears - I don’t think I’m going to Freaking LIVE through the whole movie!! AHH!
*SQUEAL!!*

I think it was great and I do think that it will bring “the others” over to the Twilight Zone (ha ha) it left me wanting more and i have been reading the books over and over again; so I can’t really say what it will do to a first timer. I love it; I love Rob and Kristen and can’t wait to see the movie:)

This trailer was awesome. I watched it so many times after the first. Edward looks sooooooooooo great. he and bella look so good together! and thats a good thing because if edward and bella looked all ackward together, the whole movie would have been ruined. can’t wait for the official trailer! CANT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 8th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
I was kind of sketchy about a movie coming out because i didn’t know if it would do the book justice. I have to admit though the trailor is awesome and makes me want to see the movie so much more then I already had. Great work!
May 8th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
im a HUGE fan of all 3 books!
the teaser i fell in love with! some parts are a little cheesy but i like it!!! I CANT WAIT TO SEE THE MOVIE!!!
May 8th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Acutally, someone above said the trailer didn’t excite them. I hadn’t even heard of the books until I saw the trailer the day it come out. It excited me so much I ran out and bought the first two books and I’m already half way through the second.
I can’t wait to see this film now.
May 8th, 2008 at 6:26 pm
i love it. i watch it over and over again. but i cant help to think superman everytime patterson says “you really should’nt have said that” i dont know, maybe its just me. but it kindof bothers me. lol otherwise, this whole trailer gives me the flippin chills
May 9th, 2008 at 9:56 pm
aww to Zanne’s comment ^ … we’re gaining more Twilight fans =)
May 10th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
There were a lot of mistakes, but hey! whats the use of making a movie if its going to be exactly like what you read?
May 21st, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Ewww. I don’t like the official cast photo at all!!!!! Edward looks ugly and evil and Bella doesn’t look good at all. Alice is the only one that looks good. Jasper is standing weird.
June 15th, 2008 at 10:22 am
Bloody hell i think i’v watched the teaser about 90 times and god its amazing theyre all perfect actors for their roles. But i do agree that in the cast photo bellas nose looks funny. God that deer was so good at acting! I only started reading Twilight last week and and im just starting new moon at first (when the book was forced on me by my friend) i thought i would hate it but i read the whole book in 5 days (thats a record for me) and im a slow reader. Now im forcing it on my best friend (she better like it!!)
