First Look By Neil Miller on September 11, 2008 | (30) Comments
The folks over at Yahoo Movies debuted the first trailer for director Joe Wright’s (Atonement) upcoming film The Soloist, which stars Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx. The film follows the story of a journalist (Downey) who meets up with a schizophrenic homeless man (Foxx) who is an incredibly gifted musician. Together, they both try and get back on their feet and follow their dreams, and whatnot. It is based on a true story and it is already starting to get some Oscar buzz, so you might just want to pay attention to the first trailer below.
Portions of The Soloist were also shot in Cleveland, Ohio, where Jamie Foxx’s character Nathaniel Ayers was born and raised. While the production was in town, our own Brian Gibson got an exclusive set visit, where he talked with Joe Wright about the film. Have a look at his report here.
What do you think of the first trailer for The Soloist?
