Lost Boys 2: The Tribe

“Who cares about Lost Boys 2, anyway?” — a comment that nearly got me killed last night here at the house in Austin. Allegedly people do really care that Corey Feldman is returning to the cult classic well, 21 years after the original film. This morning, MTV debuted the first trailer for all to enjoy.

All anticipation from old school fans of the first film aside, there doesn’t look like there is anything to be excited about here. It looks like a direct-to-DVD quality (oh wait, it is going to straight to DVD) knock off of The Covenant. Sure, Cory Feldman is making his triumphant return to the franchise that made him a star, but that doesn’t mean that he has all of the sudden become a competent actor. I don’t know about you, but I am not only less than impressed, I am turned off completely by this trailer.

Lost Boys 2: The Tribe will star Corey Feldman, Corey Haim and Autumn Reeser. It will be released sometime in July 2008.

Sound Off: Time to tell me why I am wrong… What do you think of this trailer?
