Our friends at SuperHeroHype laid down a link to the trailer premiere for Superhero Movie, the latest in the long line of spoof movies to be born of the Scary Movie phenomenon. This one also comes from Dimension films, who also just brought us Meet the Spartans. The problem with Spartans though, is that it didn’t stick to spoofing the “sword and sandals” genre. Why was Britney Spears there? Why was Megatron there? We may never know. For now, based on the trailer below, Superhero Movie at least looks like a step in the right direction. But I guess we’ll see.

Superhero Movie hits theaters on March 28, 2008.
