You guys are talking a litle bit to much, you didnt seen anything about it yet but only a single litle pic. give a chance and go see it before talking. I think for an animated movie like that, the old style from the book dont fit anyway so give a break and wait, not to offence anybody. Remember what Sony did with Surf's up, (awesome movie).

O.K…First off, Theres no Clouds in those scenes?
Looks like "Candyland" on crack.
The eyes look like something Pixar would come up with …not sony really?
Im wanting more.

This is one of my fav books when I was growing up and can tell you that I am very intrigate and will go see it for sure. The design look so cool, common guys for sure it needs some revamp from what it looks like in the original book.

I'm for sure intrigued…Im just wondering why we have adopted this barbie-doll look so much. 3D is capable of achieving ANY look…They look like generic rigs from animation mentor…
Be daring and it might just pay off…Thats how you build an animated empire…YOU trust the artists to pull from that hat…deep in all of its mystery something that draws emotion and recognition from the viewers. You trust in the unknown….You make art essentially. You leave the business to the business people and make sure the artists are not impeded upon by those shallow souls who grew up not with pencils or even computers in their hands…but with the ambition to make money.
When re-telling a story such as a classic book like this is…You stick to the look and try your best to satisfy the original creator…In an illustrated book this is PARAMOUNT.
Why did Dr.Suess' living family finally approve of a re-telling of one of his stories? Because the producers agreed to make it in his image…With his approach…The only adaptation to truly make the Seuss Family proud is "Horton hears a who" (2008)…Though even this animation had to contain modern elements and unfortunately was partially re-written by Jim Carrey…(BOO!!!)
I know what we are seeing is only a glimpse…but I really would have liked to see a more sketchy, hand-drawn look. Was it not colored with colored pencils? These characters are way too saturated in my mind…And wheres our jolly meatball man? The over-weight meatball catcher?
I am only more interested now that Ive wrote this. Please no offense…Just my two cents!

Me too, this was one of my favorites & I was thrilled to get the chance to read it to my daughter when she was little. This looks almost nothing like the books, but considering the cast they've got, I may give it a chance. Will have to wait and see…

This was one of my favorite books growing up. I can't tell you how many times my brother and I had my mom read it to us as a bedtime story. I guess the picture above looks fine. I loved the artwork of the book, so it's a little weird to see more modern characters.

Ummm…I wonder what they call their hurricanes? Today's forecast a raining with baked potatoes size of russettes and a light chance of butter maybe later in the day there will be sprinkle of chives and green onions…I gotta see it before I make fun of it I hope its not like Igor that came out later this year.
