First Look: Poster for Pierre Morel’s From Paris With Love

If you remember correctly, back in December we posted an early teaser trailer for the next film from director Pierre Morel, who brought the house down earlier this year with Taken, and to say the least it was laughable. From Paris with Love features John Travolta sporting the bald look, shooting a bazooka at cars on the Parisian freeway. That’s supposed to be funny, right? Alas, the teaser was of the early, unfinished variety and we have to give credence to the fact that director Pierre Morel delivered a swift kick to the junk with Taken, a movie that was as intense as we’ve seen from a simple revenge actioner in quite a while. From Paris with Love will also star Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Check out the new poster, courtesy of Lionsgate, below as well as the official synopsis.
From Paris with Love hits theaters on February 19, 2010.
Synopsis: A low-ranking intelligence operative (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) working in the office of the U.S. Ambassador in France takes on more than he bargained for when he partners with a wisecracking, fast-shooting, high-ranking U.S. agent (John Travolta) who’s been sent to Paris to stop a terrorist attack.
