One of the least talked about films of 2008 up to this point has been Speed Racer, and I’m not really sure why. It is being directed by The Wachowskis (The Matrix Trilogy) and it is being shot with a revolutionary full-focus camera that allows both the foreground and the background to be in focus at the same time. To me, that is pretty damn cool. The film stars Emile Hirsch as Speed, Christina Ricci as Trixie and Matthew Fox as Racer X. Entertainment Tonight caught up with Matthew Fox on set this week. And if you look closely, you will get your first look at Emile Hirsch in full costume. Check it out below.

Speed Racer is due out May 9, 2008.
