First Look: Lena Headey is All ‘Brøken’ Up

Despite the fact that The Sarah Connor Chronicles has taken a turn for the worse in season two, I would still contend that Lena Headey is one of the most talented and alluring actresses out there. And today we find a new poster for one of her other projects, a thriller titled The Brøken. This film, which was directed by Sean Ellis, premiered at this past year’s Sundance Film Festival but didn’t really get a ton of press. In fact, I didn’t realize until right now that I had missed it. Though, it goes without saying that my interest in reinvigorated now that I’ve pieced together the fact that it comes from Sean Ellis, a director whose work I have enjoyed in the past. And by that I mean that I really enjoyed his first film Cashback and look forward to seeing The Brøken, his sophomore effort.
But I digress, lets have a look at this very cool poster which comes to us courtesy of the IMPAwards:
The Brøken recently won Best Cinematography (Angus Hudson) and was nominated for Best Film at the 2008 Sitges – Catalonian International Film Festival in Spain. It will release here in the U.S. as part of the After Dark Horrorfest III: 8 Films to Die For, which will be held in the following cities from January 9-15, 2009: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa, and Washington, DC.
