Is it true that this movie won't be released until next summer? I don't get why they (whoever "they" are) are waiting for a 2009 release. It makes no sense when its getting buzzed about right now.

Everyone keeps talking about Guy Pearce and Ralph Fiennes being in the film, but the big draw for me is Jeremy Renner. Its about time film audiences get to know Jeremy and what a fantastically gifted actor he is.

This is a cast of very accomplished actors. There have been several comments about Pierce, Fiennes and Morse--all great--but in my opinion Renner is also a gifted actor. His roles so far haven't presented great opportunities to shine but he always brings something very believable and human to the part.

Bigalow is not known for 'Message' films but more character driven pieces and is pretty decent with action so I am looking forward to this too, however her last few were pretty stinky as mentioned (K19 was so disappointing.). but this does have a great cast.

Bigelow has made a couple great films (Near Dark, Strange Days) but she's made a lot of crap too... this could be good if it hews closer to the action and drama of 'Black Hawk Down' than to the bullshit politicizing of 'Redacted.'

Ok, it does look promising. But the big question running thru my head is whether this going to be a true to life story or a "Message" film? With all the previous war films being anti American or anti war I don't want to waste my time or money.

Looks very promising. Pearce, Fiennes, Morse - that's a nice line-up. Hope it runs close to GENERATION KILL.
