First Look: Friday the 13th’s New Jason is Waiting
First Look By Neil Miller on July 19, 2008 | Be the First To CommentI know what you are thinking as you look at the picture above — I was thinking the same thing — is she swimming in the nude or is she wearing clothes? Of course, also interesting is the fact that there is a tall dude in a hockey mask waiting for her on the shore. That is Jason Vorhees, back from the cinematic dead. The last time we saw him was fighting Freddy Krueger, wasn’t he? Or was he in space? I’m not sure, exactly.
This time around he is being brought back to life by the folks at Platinum Dunes and director Marcus Nispel, the man who brought us the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre back in 2003. Now he and his crew are bringing Jason back to life in time for Valentine’s Day 2009. Yes, you read that right — the Friday the 13th remake will hit theaters on February 13, 2009.
