First Look: English Trailer for ‘D-War’

We haven’t spent much time talking about D-War (Dragon Wars), mostly because there hasn’t been much to talk about. That is, until today. Our friends over at JoBlo have directed us to the first English trailer for the flick, posted by HorrorMovies.ca. Somehow, after seeing the trailer, this one could still go either way.
Directed by Korean dragon movie dude Hyung-rae Shim, D-War tells the story of a young reporter (Jason Behr) in Los Angeles who gets caught up investigating a mysterious unknown creature called The Imoogi. It’s basically a big frickin’ dragon or two. Of course, all hell breaks loose and the reporter must do everything he can to save his newfound female companion (Amanda Brooks) and of course, the world.
Let’s face it here folks, this one has B-Movie with too much of a CGI budget written all over it. We already had one big “Aliens come down from space to have their war on Earth” movie. It was called Transformers and it was a glorious summer blockbuster. All D-War can really hope for is a solid run on DVD. After seeing the trailer, I am not convinced that it will be worth seeing, but I will let you formulate your own opinion. Take a gander at the trailer HERE.
On the Side: ‘D-War’ also stars Robert Forster, who starred alongside Chuck Norris in ‘The Delta Force’.
