The first movie stills have been released for The Time Traveler’s Wife. You can check em out below, courtesy of Just Jared. For those who don’t know, the premise behind this film is that a Chicago librarian, Henry DeTamble has a genetic disorder which causes him to travel through time whenever he becomes stressed. Despite this, he tries to develop a romantic relationship with an artist, Claire Abshire.
The previously two mentioned characters will be portrayed by Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams respectively. I think that these two could have some really good chemistry together on screen, so that should help this film out. Ever since I was forced to go see The Notebook, I’ve had a little thing for Rachel McAdams. Who knows, maybe she’ll make it onto the 2008 incarnation of The Ten Hottest Babes. Also, I really enjoyed Eric Bana in Munich. Excellent film. Eric supposedly won this coveted role from Brad Pitt, after impressing the directors in Troy and aforementioned Munich.
Based on the book by the same name, The Time Traveler’s Wife is set to be released sometime in 2008. There’s already some buzz about this one, and it’ll be good to see McAdams back on the screen for the first time since 2005, when she starred in Wedding Crashers, Red Eye, and The Family Stone.
