Final Wall-E Poster Ups the Cuteness!
Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on February 28, 2008

For a while, in fact ever since Comic Con last year, I was quite vocal about not being sold on Pixar’s big summer 2008 project Wall-E. At first, I was completely unable to wrap my mind around the concept of a main character (and ancillary characters for that matter) who doesn’t talk, at all. But since then, this little guy has been growing on me (It could have something to do with our own Rob Hunter’s report from WonderCon). Sure he doesn’t talk, but he may just be the cutest damn character that Pixar has ever delivered. The final one-sheet (seen below) comes to us from the folks at Disney, and boy doesn’t it look great. I must agree with my good friend Alex over at First Showing when he says that he will be getting this one up on his wall as soon as possible. I too would like to have this posted on my wall, and I too am now very excited about this little guy they call Wall-E.

Official Synopsis: What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off?
After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, WALL•E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that WALL•E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet’s future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home). Meanwhile, WALL•E chases EVE across the galaxy and sets into motion one of the most exciting and imaginative comedy adventures ever brought to the big screen.
Wall-E is written and directed by Andrew Stanton (A Bug’s Life, Finding Nemo). It will roll into theaters and most likely into our hearts on June 27.
Sound Off: Are you excited for Wall-E?
