Our friends over at JoBlo have recently heard word that the next installment of the Final Destination franchise will be shot in 3D. David R. Ellis (Snakes on a Suck, err, Snakes on a Plane) is set to direct this fantastical feature in fabulous three dimensions.

Original plans were to have Final Destination 3 be in 3D, but the process was too expensive back in the day, all those years ago… Well anywho, no plot details have been released, but expect a variety of teenagers to cheat death and then get whats coming to them in jaw dropping ways.

I’m a huge fan of 3D because of the depth it provides the image, even when its not having a gimmicky thrust towards your face effect. Though that is cool. If there is a movie that could have lots of fun with 3D, it’s a horror flick. Count me in when this baby rolls into theaters sometime in the future and if you’re joining me, bring a rain coat, because the blood is going to fly.
