Ferrell And Wahlberg Shoot Guns (And Probably People) In The ‘B Team’

Adam McKay is making the rounds in Hollywood today building up interest in his next film, B Team. It’s an action comedy of the buddy cop variety, and it’s set to star Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.
Now I’m not a huge fan of either actor, but I like them both enough to know that this pairing has incredible potential… in both directions. McKay has worked with Ferrell on three other features of varying quality, but they do happen to be Ferrell’s three best comedies. Wahlberg can be funny (The Happening), but intentional comedy may not be his strong-suit. (To be fair, he was pretty damn hilarious at times in Three Kings.) My guess is B Team will have him playing the straight man to Ferrell’s egotistical goofball.
No studio or start date has been announced yet, but expect a 2010 release date for B Team.
What do you think of a Ferrell/Wahlberg buddy cop movie?
