Ferrell and Dobkin Bail in Neighborhood Watch… Nothing to See Here

The day has finally arrived. We got a scoop from the Orlando Sentinel.
Will Ferrell and David Dobkin, director of Wedding Crashers and the ill-fated Fred Claus, have bailed on the no-longer-starring-Will-Ferrell vehicle Neighborhood Watch. The film was ditched by these Hollywood comedy darlings, because Dobkin’s most recent script revisions couldn’t get past the apparently schizophrenic deciders over at Fox.
Meh, whatever. Neighborhood Watch sounds like a sloppy combination of City Slickers, The Burbs, Hot Fuzz, and that wierd sewer monster Scully-and-Mulder-pose-as-a-Stepford-couple episode of “X Files”, anyway. We’ll see how and if this puppy turns out. We’ll see.
Is that you looking at me through my curtains, or what?
