Sorry Cole, I didn't mean to tromp all over some of your favorite movies like a douche, but I really don't share your affection for any of the mentioned films. Thank you for your support RobHunter. I think “The Squid and the Whale” was the only one I might have mildly enjoyed, but I suppose it was performance driven.

The book is wonderful. Just like everything else Roald Dahl ever wrote. It's funny, and quirky, and there are always horrible baddies;
"Boggis and Bunce and Bean
One fat, one short, one lean
Those horrible crooks
So different in looks
Were nonetheless equally mean."
I think it's just that his books are so terribly wonderful, and Wes Anderson is a quirky enough director that he can probably pull of a Dahl book better than most. I'm looking forward to it, at least.

To be fair, both Squid and the Whale and Margot at the Wedding were meandering more often than not and were only made watchable due to some fantastic performances. Life Aquatic was pretty good though.

Hmmm…I really don't know what to think. I actually hadn't heard about this movie until now. I didn't know that it was so highly anticipated. Why? Noah Baumbach has done nothing of consequence, and a great voice acting cast didn't save “Shark Tale” or “Robots”. Was the kids book something really special, or is there something I'm missing?
