Fantastic Fest: David D’Andrea’s Antichrist Poster
Fantastic Fest By Neil Miller on September 29, 2009 | 1 Comment
If you follow me on Twitter (@rejects), then it is likely that you’ve seen this new Antichrist poster, as I tweeted about it a few days back. And as luck would have it, we received a hi-res version for the web late last night. Designed by artist David D’Andrea — whose work can be found at DVDAndrea.com — this poster celebrates the nature theme of Lars Von Trier’s much talked about film.
I had a chance to catch Antichrist here at Fantastic Fest and one of the film’s most indelible themes is the tag at the top of this poster, that “Nature is Satan’s Church.” As for the movie itself, it was a brutal and visually stunning journey set inside the grief of two people. It is difficult to watch, but it demands your attention at any turn. Personally, I thought it was a great piece of work. Much like this poster… Which I believe is currently sold out, but my appear again someday on the Mondo Tees website.
