Even though Robert Fure already has two strikes against him for “assaulting a performance artist” and something in California law referred to as “rumplestumping,” he broke into the production office for 9 and stole this beautiful one-sheet for Film School Rejects. So, if you’re a cop, he’s the one that did it. Not us.

Check this out:

I really dig this poster, and I’ve dug pretty much everything that’s come out about this movie so far. The ruined city of the background looks like something out of WWII, and there’s something really about mixing that look with the futuristic style of a sentient rag doll.

Also pretty cool, you can now get updates from the fictional scientist who made the rag dolls in the film by befriending him on facebook. The future of social marketing meets…the future?

Also, also, I do find it cool that they’ve prominently placed the screenwriter’s name on the poster. Sort of awesome.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to 9? Do I need to remind you when it comes out?

No reminder needed - I've been looking forward to this since I heard they were turning the short into a full-length film. It's one of the films I've been looking forward to most this year.
  • Looks nice. The monster looks pretty photoshoppy in the larger version of the poster though.
  • Looks good but nothing to bust a nut over.
  • It doesn't take much for me to bust a nut. I'll ask my wife to touch her hair and whoops, gotta change the tighty whities. This poster's cool and the previews (though I've seen it attached to every film I've been to since Coraline came out) are awesome. I hate Coheed & Cambria but that song rocks.

YES YES YES....can't wait for this.
  • Wow they really changed up Daniel Day-Lewis for this I just hope he can sing. (joke btw I don't really want to have to explain that lol)

Im just interested to see if Burton is a " Producer" or if he is just helping with the Direction of the film.

The Teaser/Trailer certainly has the dark Burton-esque feel. Also - anyone know the music in the trailer/who is doing the music?
  • I think you mean the song by Coheed and Cambria. It's called "Welcome Home."

I wouldn't imagine that Burton is helping with that. The trailer and the short Acker made at UCLA both retain the exact same look, so it's completely Acker's vision. Too bad everyone's going to think Burton made it.
