I haven't seen 2012, and probably won't until it's on blu ray. What I would have liked is a sequel to Independence Day a long time ago. It could have been different, it could have been great. The story could have reflected our use of alien tech to build a space force for when the aliens returned to ask WTF? Space battles galore. Now, that's something I'd go see.

I know. The last thing I want to see is another Independence Day. Don't get
me wrong the first was a really good action, sci-fi movie. The only way I
would go to see another one is if there was a fresh take on it. Maybe a
different perspective from a whole different group of people, or a prequel
that shows the origins of the aliens plot. But, like I have already said
there is no need for another.
