I have not yet heard anything good about the Sean Penn directed, Emile Hirsch headlined Into the Wild, the story of a young man of privilege who decides to run off and become one with, well… The Wild. Yet, I am intrigued by how ridiculously over-the-top the marketing campaign has been for the soundtrack, which is completely the work of Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder. While I am yet to see the flick, and have very little interest in it, the video for the song “Hard Sun” isn’t so bad. Take a look for yourself below.

Into the Wild opened in limited theaters on September 21 and continues to roll out nationwide over the coming weeks.
