When a self-help author arrives in Seattle to teach a sold-out seminar, he unexpectedly meets the one person who might finally be able to help him help himself.

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for their upcoming romantic comedy Love Happens, starring Aaron Eckhart and Jennifer Aniston. That is the official logline above. Does this sound generic? Absolutely. Does the trailer make it look generic? Yes. Do I like just about everything that Aaron Eckhart has done lately? Yes, indeed. Am I now torn about what to say about this new romantic comedy? Yes.

Please feel free to formulate your own opinions based on the trailer below.

Love Happens hits theaters on September 18, 2009.

Eckhart is the only appealing aspect of this film (to me).
  • oh my gosh i really wanna see this movie!!
  • Oh no...
  • I wouldn't say it looks TOTALLY generic. And the two leads are fantastic. Aniston is a gorgeous woman and talented actress, and I love Aaron Eckhart
  • Uma
Looks completely corny, but Eckhart's my man so I'm going to see it.
  • Docktorwu
I am a big Eckhart fan, but even his talent could not pull me into watch Aniston stink up the screen
  • Faye
Did Eckhart's agent tell him to spice up his portfolio or has the 'current financial climate' hit the beautiful and the talented hard too? I'd rather re-watch Sleepless in Seattle.
