The fine folks at Disney have purchased the rights to Marc Bernardin and Adam Freeman’s AiT published graphic novel, Monster Attack Network. The comic follows the M.A.N. team who are responsible for defending the island paradise and economical powerhouse of Lapuatu. The island, known for its beauty and giant freaking monster attacks, experiences a sudden surge in giant ass-kicking monster related destruction and the team has to figure out what’s going on.
In addition to monster stomping, the M.A.N. team is also responsible for cleaning up and rebuilding after the giant attacks. A business, not a government agency, the two star employees are Nate Klinger, an absolute beast of a man who cold probably knock out a Gorilla with one punch, and Lana Barnes, a knock-out beauty packing some serious chest heat. By that I mean big, comic book styled breasts, drawn by Nima Sorat.
The book smartly treads lightly on plot but lets giant monsters ravage the town and focuses on the action, from flying monsters, to giant eyed-creatures and even a Big Ass Robot. Hell yeah! The movie, they say, will have a Men in Black vibe and be geared towards creating a franchise.
This sounds cool to me because I love giant monsters and giant breasts and action. More news as it happens.
