I think they should make a Indy 5 and 6 back to back like they did with Back to the Future 2 and 3 and kind of give it a to be continued feel like Empire Strikes Back/Return of the Jedi was making these the last two films and giving the Indy franchise 6 films total like the Star Wars Saga.I would love to see sean Connery back but in 4 it wrote him out as being dead already so I dont know about that one.I'm thinking what about multiple bad guys spread throughout 5 and 6 like Indy going to Africa dealing with witch doctors,returning to Asia maybe doing the Great Wall of China Bit with a returning Lao Cho from Temple Of Doom,Or Japan gansters is always a nice touch.Or even Indy in Australia or Maybe a Romanian Castle dealing with a vampire.IDK but the Atlantis idea would be cool.I cant wait though until Indy 5.

the problem is, everyone talks major shit on how goofy and weird parts were in crystal skull, yet its pretty rediciolous how in previous indiana jones theres a voodoo man who can take hearts out of your body by saying “Kaaaalimaaaar!!!” and lets see they jumped out of a airplane on a inflatable boat and somehow survived. The list goes on

i still think 4 wasnt as great, but really the only part that bothered me was shia lebouff jumping on vines with monkeys, if it was just monkeys that would have been cool, cause its goofy like the old ones but still believable in a way.

I think it should involve the Antikythera mechanism. An ancient mechanical calculator/computer thing thought to be invented in 100 BC. It was found in 1901 so it could fit in Indy’s time-line. Maybe the mechanism has some sort of clue to the lost city of Atlantis or other ancient mystery that Indy’s hunting down (Hopefully sans Mutt).

I think the bigger question should be will Spielberg direct another lack luster Indy film like “The Temple of Doom” and the “Crystal Skull”? Or will Lucas step in and let someone else direct in his name and add in stupid cliche characters?

Yes, Indy 4 wasn't great, but damn it all I loved seeing Ford back on the screen as Indy, older or not.

I'll go see an Indy 5. Still I think this shouldn't be the project Lucas has force fed Spielberg (Watch the Indy 4 special features. Spielberg is interviewed and it is so obvious he made this film to get George off his back)

Instead the 5th film should be a hunt for an ancient religious artifact in the vein of "Raiders" or "Last Crusade". The Indy films are weakest when this isn't the 'macguffin'.

Perhaps Noah's Ark or the search for the Cross of Jesus.
