What are you people talking about???? Terminator Salvation was a great summer movie, it was very well done and McG deserves good credit, if you didnt like this flick then go back and watch Terminator 3………now that was just a rehash of Terminator 2. Salvation stands up to the first 2 flicks and T3 is just one of those skulls about to be crushed

I loved this movie!!!I really could give a rat's ass of all the negative comments made about it. People tend to forget that Connor is only in his 30's at the moment, he eventually becomes THE leader in his mid or late 40's. I think were expecting another T2 and just are afraid of change direction.I know T2 was a breakthrough film but let it go,this a new generation.

I thought there was some cool scenes in it but the acting was terrible. The human/terminator was one of the worst actors I have seen in a awhile get a major role.

What the hell was the point of the little kid in the movie?

The whole snuggle scene between the chick and the terminator was absolutely ridiculous.

Did they even show any humans really die in this aside from explosions?

How insanely obvious or corny was it when Marcus gave his heart to Conner? Besides, how easy is it to do a fucking heart transplant from a terminator to a human in the middle of a desert just after Conner had a huge pipe that ripped through his body?

How come every time a hunter killer or one of those huge machines was close by they never heard it until it was right above them?

Why was Marcus such a prick and what was the storyline behind him being in prison?

Why is it so damn hard for the terminators to kill John Conner when they have far superior technology? every time there is an explosion or anything they seem to be a minute away. Yet they cant find one dude? Hell, one half terminator was able to escape their base with ease.

I actually did enjoy it, I just think there is way to many holes in this film. They had an opportunity to put together a VERY good move and aside from a few action scenes and special effects they really dropped the ball imo.

This movie had no real direction, just a bunch of random ideas and random acts, in which none of it was thought out.

i just saw it– i like hearing "i'll be back" by connor. seeing the bad ass arnold terminator, the scar– and the father and son reunion. is this another trilogy?

I really enjoyed this movie. I agree it needed a little more character development, Connor's wife was useless, and i didnt really feel the connection between blair and marcus enough for her to justify breaking him out, maybe if it was rated R and we got to see that love scene it might have felt more real.

but those are just nitpicks, i think it was a good movie, 8/10

IT's an action movie about people fighting machines in the future. The first two had heart involved because they were set in a time where there was no struggle against machines, but in salvation there ofcourse would be less emotion which makes sense because of what they go through daily. Idk if i was being hunted by a t-600 i wouldn't be cheery. Bale was an awesome John Connor . Who else would have been right for the role? no one. The Arnold scene was awesome. I'm glad they did that. but come on it's not like this film went to cannes . It's a summer blockbuster. As Christian Bale would say it " get off the comment page you pricks."

The action sequences were impressive, albeit unbelievable at times. McG did a good job for his background but is that really talent or a big budget that afforded him the ability to make his vision come to life? I don’t know, but as summer popcorn action film it achieved it purpose.

As a well written film it bombed. Bale was wasted-bad dialogue, not enough to do, and he looked completely uninterested. Sam Worthington did an ok job but he suffered from bad writing as well and the whole storyline involving a love interest felt forced. Do they assume action films need to be balanced by love stories to be taken seriously? Regardless, a better plotline and less bland dialogue would have made this the franchise reboot people expected it to be after that last film.

For the people who enjoyed this movie, I ask you to review that opinion in about two weeks when a new movie comes out. I notice that there is this trend to like movies cause that's the newest thing out and one of the better thing to watch for that week. Terminator Salvation was NOT a good movie. It was NOT the worst movie by any stretch but it was very flawed. They were characters in this movie that didn't need to be there at all; Bryce Dallas Howard, Common, Moonblood.

This movie needed to be taut and on point for this to be really good. Instead it opted for alot of notable faces. They served no purpose except fluff. The Sam Worthington, Christian Bale of course, and Anton Yelchin characters were necessary. Everyone else was interchangeable, and because they were, you could have put unknowns so you were not distracted by characters you thought were going to do something and then………. Have nothing happen. I give this movie a 6 out of 10. Could have been a 9 but they failed on so many other levels but those were my main grips with this movie.
