Discuss: Does Jake Gyllenhaal Shirtless Cause Excitment?
Discussion By Neil Miller on March 9, 2009 | (43) Comments
Above you will see a photo of Jake Gyllenhaal shirtless and in costume in the upcoming Jerry Bruckheimer produced film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. And according to the blogosphere and a slow-news Monday, this is about the most exciting thing happening on the web today. The photos were posted over the weekend by The Huffington Post and have since caused a bit of buzz from our friends and neighbors. And while it doesn’t do much for us — especially since it does not involve any action shots, set pieces or shirtless ladies — we are curious to gather your opinions.
In fact, it brings to light an even broader concern of mine: is anyone really, really excited about the Prince of Persia movie in general? From where I sit, this film is too far off — with a May 2010 release date — to be anything of interest. That, and I was never really into the video game, so at this point I am neither excited or offended, as many of you may be. Please leave your own well-formed opinions in the comment area below.
