I'm a special education teacher, as well as a home care provider for a Downes Syndrome boy- that being said, i take NO offense to any of the content (down right i find it fucking funny), nor should I think the 'advocates' have any qualms either. I'm so sick of being p.c. to have a say in entertainment, and the content of it. The jokes weren't made at any one's expense because even in the movie (if it were watched by said advocates) ben stiller's character (mind you, once again, ben's playing a role...that play's the role) is reprimanded for that choice.

The demands are outrageous. Clearly they're hoping that the studio will actually feel shitty for this film and hand out freebies such as a campaign...which is just showing the fact that they're too lazy to fund it on thier own.

Now we just have to wait for some Black's right movement to get on Downy's ass and make a list of demands. Then this movie can really get the full attention it needs-really.

*headdesk*. . . stupid political correctness is just taking over the world. People can't laugh at anything anymore because somebody doesn't know the difference between fiction and reality-based humorous attacks on humor itself. I was listening to NPR's interview of that guy who runs those PC groups anyway. Instead of boycotting a film over something silly, let's all go see it. Fure, comedy is there to make fun of something. Those crazy jocks who get offended at being seen as preppy all the time? They probably don't care. They're too busy playing dumb. Oh! I just offended the dumb jocks for the sake of comedy! The dumb jocks are now a special interest group! I can't make fun of the dumb jocks anymore for selling their soul to the lack of intelligence they crave, because I could be thrown rocks at i.e. stoned to death in a very biblical sense. Oh my goodness, I just got un politically correct again, I made fun of the bible. Great.. can people stop getting self-righteous and offended over everything? Nothing is funny anymore to anyone. How am I supposed to become a comedian among other things in an unfunny world? I've been guilty as charged of getting offended over stupid stuff before. I'm now realizing that it makes life boring to be offended at the slightest thing. Come on people.

This would make much more sense if the protesters protesting the film actually saw the film before taking their stance on this. I saw a prescreening of the movie last week and its obvious that Ben Stiller's character is promoting the same general cause of the Disabilities Rights Group. His character, Tugg Speedman is criticized for making the 'Simple Jack' movie and it almost ruins his career.

I agree that there should be some sensitivity toward their cause, but their "demands" are unrealistic. They're demanding these things without even having seen the film...

The movie is hilarious btw, its got a lot of funny moments and nice surprises. I would highly recommend it!

I'm blonde. They better not make fun of blondes in this movie, because I might get offended. If they do, does that mean I get to make demands too? Neato!

Man, people just take things way too seriously!

I wish to protest about the vile and gratuitous smoking of tobacco by Robert Downey Jr and I want you to pay me for opening my fat fucking mouth about it. I have no concept of satire and a colossal ego to feed.

Think about the children.

These people jus want money and rec. because they havent done this with lower budget movies that made fun of the disabled or mentally handicapped. This is Happening to T.T. strictly because of it being a high budget film and having big name actors in it.
