There's an intangible quality to Hitchcock's movie's that will no one will ever be able to replicate, making any remake, rehash or re-envisioning of his work subpar by default. Someday there may come a storyteller on par with his talent, but that person won't have to rely on talent. Today, there is no director who can take Hitch's work and bring it back to life. That person simply does not exist.

That said, this movie will likely be made at some point. And it will be moderately successful, at best.

“The Birds” is a pretty good movie, I have had the opportunity to see the movie once. And I guess i am done now seeing more Alfred Hitchcock movies.

The only person who should be allowed to remake a Hitchcock film is Alfred Hitchcock. There is no way this can turn out well.

HELL NO!
In my opinion, there should be some territories where some remakes should be untouchable.
1) Someone who died while filming the movie. (Brandon Lee in the Crow which sadly there are going to remake or "reboot" as the jackass producers are calling it and no doubt is going to suck)
2) Hitchcock Movies. Psycho anyone?
3) Stanley Kubrick Movies.
4) Every Movie in the IMDB 250 List
5) REMAKES, REBOOTS, REIMAGINING (WHY BOTHER WITH THE FANCY TITLES? IF IT LOOKS LIKE SHIT AND SMELLS LIKE SHIT, CHANCES ARE THAT'S IT'S SHIT RIGHT?! SURE YOU CAN FANCY IT UP BY CALLING IT FECES, EXCREMENTS, BODILY WASTE, CRAP, POO, POOP, BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS STILL A PIECE OF SHIT!) REMAKES OR WHATEVER YOU WOULD LIKE TO CALL IT HAVE ONE THING IN COMMON: THERE ARE ALL AND WILL ALWAYS WILL BE UNNECESSARY. THAT'S WHY THE REASON WHY WE CALL A MOVIE A CLASSIC. IT'S PERFECT THE WAY IT IS. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT, THE STORY, ACTING, DIRECTING, CINEMATOGROPHY, SET DESIGNS, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT BUT ASSHOLES LIKE BRAD FULLER @ PLATINUM DUNES KEEP MAKING ALL THESE UNNECESSARY AND SHITTY REMAKES OR GARBAGE AND GET AWAY WITH IT. SIMPLY PUT, IT MAKES ME SICK!
