transformers-teasercap2

By now its likely that you’ve watched the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen teaser that I posted a little while ago. And now that you’ve had time to do some cleaning with your Shamwow and watch it a few times, I believe we should begin talking about what’s important: What is that huge transformer at the end?

The debate is raging over on Twitter, where opinions have emerged from the likes of /Film’s Peter Sciretta, Latino Review’s George Roush and yours truly. It has also spilled onto the boards over at TW2005, where users are now talking about whether or not that gigantic baddie is “The Devastator” or just one of its pieces. Personally, I am inclined to think that if this isn’t the Devastator, and is only a piece, that the combined robot that it would help form would be comically big — as in, way too big. So while I can’t say for sure — though I’m hoping that some of you can — I’m curious. Curious to see if Bay takes it to the realm of ridiculous, which wouldn’t surprise me.

From here I will let you debate it out: Do you think that the giant Decipticon at the end of the Transformers 2 teaser is the Devastator, or just one of its pieces?
