i like breadan routh as superman on superman returns and superman ; man of steel and justice league mortal and batman vs. superman. breadan routh is a great superman. so superman ; man of steel starring breadan routh. breadan routh is so cool and awsome i like you breadan routh you cool and awsome as superman i saw superman returns. My problems with Superman Returns are: 1) Why have the son in the story? It just feels wierd that there is another superman JR and it makes superman not unique anymore. 2) The costume looks too clean, in fact the whole treatment to the film is too clean to the point that its not belivable. I hope they really re-boot the whole franchise. Superman needs it.

Brandon Routh was the sole saving grace of SR. He got a lot of crap for doing a Chris Reeve impression, but that’s not an easy task, folks. The fact that he damn near nailed it is proof that he is right for the role. I have to admit that a reboot with Routh as Superman is very exciting and a fair compromise to both factions of fans that loved/hated SR.

You can’t blame Brandon for Superman Returns’ failings. He was paid to do a job and he done it. Following in the footsteps of Christopher Reeves can’t have been easy for him cause the fanboys always speak their mind. You need to have a thick skin so that you can get on with the job.

Look what Daniel Craig went through when it was announced that he was the new James Bond. Look at all the negative press he recieved. He went on and proved fanboys wrong. He did an admirable job.

The new Superman movie needs a really exciting storyline. Something tremendous to get the fanboys salivating. It has to be said, the storyline for Superman Returns may have looked good on paper but the end result produced a boring film.

Lets look forward and not back.

Look what Daniel Craig went through when it was announced that he was the new James Bond. Look at all the negative press he recieved. He went on and proved fanboys wrong. He did an admirable job.

Routh was a good choice, it was the script that sucked donkeyballs and the terrible choice of Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane (personally, I would have liked to see Elizabeth Banks in the role).

I don’t know whose idea it was to portray Superman as a peeping-tom, deadbeat-dad, but they should be fired.

as long as they change the suit and Routh either gets a little bigger or the new suit has some padding (like Reeve’s one) they yea keep him around, its better then getting a brand new guy every time they want to do something with Superman
