Screenwriter, director and all-around badass muthafucka David S. Goyer is working on a supernatural thriller about a dybbuk.
“The fuck’s a dybbuk?” you ask. If you weren’t such a culturally illiterate boob, you’d know a dybbuk is a creature from Yiddish folklore: a restless evil soul, a possessing spirit unable to move on to the afterlife. C’mon. Everybody knows that.
Goyer’s film, as yet untitled according to Production Charts, will center on an 18-year-old girl haunted by the ghost of a young boy who died at Auschwitz.
Sounds like a solid recipe for creepiness and Goyer is just the guy to make it work. The guy is so full of talent, his left nut could direct this film all by itself. Meanwhile, his right nut could be gettin’ bizzee with your mom. Oooh! Faced!
Production will start March 3 in Chicago, looks like Universal’s Rogue Pictures arm and Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes are involved.
