The boys over at IESB.net picked up news that David Murray will be donning the silver helmet of Laird Destro in the upcoming GI Joe movie. This comes on the heels of tons of other casting news for the movie, which has gathered up quite the collection of talent. David Murray is best known for being the guy they just hired to play Destro.

Seriously. I had never heard of him, but a quick IMDB search shows him to have such groundbreaking rules as “Jumpy Thug” in Batman Begins (Where are you? HERE!) and Merlin’s Lieutenant in King Arthur. But the guys who hired him seem pretty psyched up, so here’s hoping for the best.

Make sure to check out all of our GI Joe coverage to get casting news and character insights.
