David Fincher is one of the geniuses of modern cinema. Chances are you know him as the director of 1999′s Fight Club.

Sadly, Fincher’s mind lately doesn’t seem to be firing on all thrusters. Consider this quote from a recent interview with MTV.

MTV: You told us about a year ago you were interested in doing a musical.

Fincher: One of the things I want at the 10-year anniversary is to do Fight Club as a musical on Broadway. I love the idea of that.

Clearly, Fincher isn’t playing with a full deck — and if he is — they’re all jokers. My thoughts are with him as I pray for his speedy recovery.
